Vianca Reinig

(b 1989, France. Lives and works in Paris)

Reinig approaches her work from an architectural perspective; seeking to evoke and capture the shapes; colours and contours of the built environment. In a folding play on spatial perspective; she transforms her urban photography into three-dimensional models; which; in turn; inspire her finished two-dimensional artworks. Reinig says that creating new combinations of shapes and forms allows her to craft new sceneries and geometric relationships; and re-invent the topography of the environments she captures through her lens.
