Collection: Tzung-Hui Lauren Lee

(b 1998, South Africa. Lives and works in Johannesburg )

Lee's practice is predominantly installation-based and emerges through the processes within digital spaces; paper-making; sculpture and calligraphy. Her process continues to evolve via the act of translating two-dimensional markings to three-dimensional space. Lee draws inspiration from various aspects within Chinese philosophy and culture; including customary Chinese folk art where she explores ideas that relate to decolonising the self and relationships within the past and present.
