Thembeka Heidi Sincuba

Sincuba is an interdisciplinary artist who moves between and combines various media including painting; drawing; photography; video; performance; textiles and installation. The conceptual basis for her work is drawn from lived experience and indigenous knowledge systems. Sincuba's work explores the intersection of sexuality and technology; aiming to reflect sex positivity as an antithesis to gender-based discrimination and violence. She is interested in women's work globally; with a specific focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
