Gerke says; “I am an engineer by education and for the last 30 years I've been in the advertising business. For the last few years I've painted a lot. Idon't have an artist's biography: I haven't participated in exhibitions; did not sell”¦ I create abstract geometrical texts. Their main idea is the fascination of a straight line; which having a beginning andan end; is the basis of harmony. I'm trying to bring geometry; dreams and fantasies together; or notes in the margins ofconsciousness”.
