Peter Evans

Peter Evans is a multidisciplinary artist whose work begins by him collecting everyday found objects and overheard snippets of conversation. He collages or paints over this material and then often re-scales the resulting reference piece to develop new abstracted forms that consider the monotony that orders our lives in the face of a universe of unanswered questions. “My work celebrates the poetry in the ways we deal with this disconnect; and the overlooked details of the ordinary;” says Evans. “By repurposing familiar materials; the work reveals an unexpected view of the unremarkable.”
