Nicola Villa

Nicola Villa trained as an architect and works with various media including painting; serigraphy; lithography; photography; and video; regularly combining these in one work. Developed over time; his unique visual language is alternatively and sometimes simultaneously abstract and figurative; narrative; fictional and documentary. Central to his practice is the depiction of the human condition in all its variety and richness. He prefers the ordinary to the remarkable; generally choosing to represent people where and as they are.
