Nick Paton is interested in the material property of things. He pursues a tactile; object driven process by exploring the material and metaphorical potential. The inherent potential of the things I make is often left in that very state - as a pure potential to become something or perhaps nothing at all; so my works are like material propositions; that in essence occupy a physical and conceptual space of becoming something else; nothing; or perhaps something more.
