Marco Zumbé's abstract paintings focus on line as a formative element and the visual affect of pattern and repetition. He aims to create works with atmospheric depth and narrative density; which play on the tension between meticulous process painting and unconscious intervention. Zumbé's concerns extend beyond the canvas as he searches for new materials and possibilities for presentation. As such; his practice crosses over into sculpture and installation as well.
