Helen Barff

Helen works with found objects and materials such as felt; plaster; concrete; rubber or photographic surfaces; using processes such as wrapping and casting. A sensitivity to touch is central to her practice. I am currently engaged in a period of research exploring autobiographical memories contained in belongings; particularly clothing. Clothes are spaces we inhabit - they contain memories.
