“My drawing and painting have developed out of a persistent accumulation of experimental practices that explore the language and landscape of painting itself. My work in printmaking has influenced my practice and is testament to the innate freedom of image-making -a working practice that unleashes freedom through self-imposed restraints. I set rules and constraints in order to test the boundaries and to invite chance and accident”. “Through an exploratory approach to the history of painting; my interest in subject matter stems from an on-going investigation into ”˜painting from paintings' and through a self-conscious amateurism I aim to multiply the potential of visual codes through processes of persistent repetition and reinterpretation”.
