Collection: Clemens Behr

(b 1985, Germany. Lives and works in Berlin)

Behr does not need much to make his art. In recent years; he has cultivated a predilection for DIY strategies in various parts of the world. His way of working is characterized by the intensive exploration of public space and an inclination toward everyday materials with a strong emphasis on improvisation. At the core of his mostly site-specific work is the principle of collage and its spatial unfolding. In the manner of bricolage; Behr produces installations and sculptures on a range of scales from remnants of used objects; debris from the streets; and various reused materials.
