Claire's recent works explore new colours; shapes and textures which have emerged and have evolved into simpler; more minimalist abstract works. She describes her works as a deeply personal expression of exploration back to herself. It's a combination of substance and raw surface; light and darkness; pleasure and pain; blooming and decay. My love of the tactile; behavioral elements of nature have played a significant role in influencing my subject matter. I like the idea of alchemy in paint.
