Claire Johnson

Claire Johnson is both an artist and part of a creative studio; Hoick; which she co-founded. Her fabric works and paintings look at the relationship between humans and objects. By removing an object from its original context and reducing it to a two-dimensional shape; she questions whether the object can speak for itself. More recently her work has focused on the negative space an object creates; and the stories and secrets held within that space.
