Cab Kenningale's recent work involves taking small paper felt tip and crayon drawings which then get enlarged; overlapped and rotated. If the image is magnified enough; previously minor artifacts present themselves and can be manipulated. The starting point lies in disorder; laying a solid; thick and bold combination of materials; such as pastel; oil bar and household paint onto the canvas and paper. Then comes refinement and control; picking the correct edges and shapes to exploit
