Andy's practice is one that loops back into itself in a way that generates momentum for the paintings to mimic each other; and then come back to the source. They are paintings about paintings. Whether it be the glitchy way a moving figure refuses to be stitched seamlessly into a digital image within google street view; an errant traffic paint line; or old layers of paint falling off of a sign to reveal previous layers of paint; they all revolve around a human element and/or time having passed”.
