Alba Deangelis

(b 1988, Italy. Lives and works in Milano)

Alba Deangelis' interest in architectural photography began as a way of processing new surroundings. Growing up in the Mediterranean region of Puglia; she moved to Milan in her 20s. Photography helped Deangelis channel both the curiosity and uncertainty that came with this disorienting change of culture and environment; while also allowing her to find a place within it. Deangelis' work focuses on and isolates particular aspects of urban spaces; she then merges and abstracts these details to reflect on her life and experiences.
