Describe the works Art Gazette has recently acquired from you:
It’s been a new way of working for me, a kind of exercise in eliminating choices a little bit, working with grids of triangles dictates the layout allowing for the decisions to be about colour and imagery. I made some works in pairs, so one could learn from the other.
If you weren’t an artist, what would you be?
A crane driver, I really like moving big things.
Where would your dream studio be and what would it look like?
I love my studio in London so if I can keep that too then Scotland, I’m working here at the moment, I would love a huge sculpture yard coming out from a double height studio so I could be outside as much as possible.
I’ve been looking at derelict buildings imagining I can sort them out with a lick of paint!!
Your top 3 favourite emerging artists?
I think these three have maybe emerged maybe, but I mention them as I'm always so interested to see what they are currently making and am often surprised; Lana Locke, Jay Guard and Frances Richardson.

Describe a piece of artwork in your house:
A small oil painting of a court jester called Arlecchio, he sits with a baton guarding the door.
Who would your dream artistic collaboration be with?
Gordon Matta-Clark, his ambition and scale motivate me. I want my next studio tool to be a JCB.
