Peter Evans is a multidisciplinary artist whose work begins by him collecting everyday found objects and overheard snippets of conversation. He collages or paints over this material and then often re-scales the resulting reference piece to develop new abstracted forms that consider the monotony that orders our lives in the face of a universe of unanswered questions.
“My work celebrates the poetry in the ways we deal with this disconnect, and the overlooked details of the ordinary,” says Evans. “By repurposing familiar materials, the work reveals an unexpected view of the unremarkable.”
