Faatimah Mohamed-Luke worked locally and globally in the fashion industry for over a decade until 2016, when she began to focus on visual art and interior design.
Mohamed-Luke uses plastic building blocks to create large-scale, tessellated works that blur the line between art and design. Her chosen medium enables a playfulness that challenges material norms in art making in order to foster accessibility and inclusion. Her tessellated forms reintroduce the Arab and African designs she traces her heritage to.
