David Esquivel is a self-taught artist whose minimal landscapes explore relationships between organic forms and colours. His artistic practice is concerned with the implications of time on relationships between humans and the physical world. Through reductive processes, he aims to highlight both natural and human essential elements via balanced and harmonious compositions.
He says: “I aim to invite the viewer, not just to look upon the elements, but to float throughout the world that is the painting, allowing them to understand the magnitude and fragility of it all.”
