Artist's statement

(b 1966GB. Lives and works in London)

Clark’s work explores coastal environments, focusing specifically on places geared towards tourism; it’s an interest that traces back to his upbringing in Mallorca and Cornwall. His works begin by taking photographs at specific locations, which are then collaged and reconfigured; the resulting images then serve as reference material for paintings.
