Artist's statement

(b 1995US. Lives and works in Philadelphia)

Moy creates collages of imagery sourced from various media and technology channels. His work uses digital print and plotter technologies alongside mark making to consider our hyper-consumption of media, and the error efficiency. By slowing down, breaking apart and reconstructing his own perspective, he attempts to understand these media in his own abstract terms. “I integrate a wide variety of images, including my own,” says Moy, “drawing from the surface- level ‘stock’ that media and entertainment produce, often blurring the lines between all of my sources.”
