Artist's statement
(b 1993CA. Lives and works in Winnipeg)
Keast is a painter and sculptor drawn to the unstable nature of visual imagery and its potential for continuous reinterpretation. His recent work explores a sense of being unmoored, as he works towards his own reconstruction of an indefinable origin. “Encouraging a tactile-based form of experience that emphasizes tension between texture and association, these works distil and condense the passage of time and impressions of space into seemingly familiar shapes and patterns.”Solo exhibitions
