De Monseignat’s work reflects her interest in psychology, mythology, urban legends, anthropology and literature. Focusing on birth, fertility, anthropomorphism and the uncanny, she explores the physicality of intangible concepts through her sculpting process. By using materials that reflect robust and fragile elements such as fur, glass, textiles, steel and marble, De Monseignat attempts to reflect both the vulnerability and potential of the human body.
