“My current practice is focused on painting and drawing. My work is on the borderline of abstract and figurative. Each of them starts from a life experience. It could be a particular moment or a (day)dream. The reason why the women are nude and faceless in my paintings is because they are raw and without statement. I would like to create environments that viewers can place themselves in. Those women could be me or anyone else.

Acrylic paint and oil pastel are the main media I work with. They allow me to create visuals similar to those video tapes which have been played for many times. That’s memory to me, I replay them again and again before I project them on canvas”.
