Inckle’s work explores a material relationship with the natural world through both image-making and sculpture. She often begins her process by walking, sometimes collecting physical objects and materials and collating photographic imagery. She then goes on to use these objects and images to inform her drawings, sculptures and installations.
Inckle considers her ‘making’ as both a developmental process and a meditative action; it is a point of contact between her and the world around her, forming a type of extended anatomy.
